Press Release: TTG Join Gradwell Communications

Chiltern Capital (“Chiltern”) have added mid-market 3CX Managed Service Provider, The Technology Group (“TTG”) to its portfolio. TTG join Gradwell Communications Limited (“Gradwell”), fellow 3CX Titanium Partners in the enlarged group.

Both successful businesses will retain their brand identities, with TTG continuing to focus on direct mid-market business whilst Gradwell transitions to a 100% channel business. Gradwell’s ongoing focus will be selling services on its own platforms such as Wave, its own hosted voice solution and SIP products such as Direct Routing for Teams. TTG will continue to design, install and operate its own fully managed UCaaS solutions based on the industry-leading 3CX platform.

Gradwell CEO Simon Curry, who will lead the combined group explained:

“TTG is a great strategic fit for Gradwell and gives the group clear capabilities to expertly provision and service larger customers with more sophisticated requirements.”

Jonathan Marsden, Founder and CEO of TTG will retain an investment in the combined group and continue to head up the Leeds-based business, driving growth in conjunction with the Gradwell team. Marsden stated:

“I’m delighted to be working with Chiltern and Gradwell, who share our vision and philosophy for the business in this next exciting chapter ahead.”

The acquisition almost doubles the size of the group and allows Gradwell to concentrate solely on the channel, taking their own offerings – primarily aimed at the SME market – and complimentary third-party services to market, whilst TTG will focus on direct business within the group, typically for larger SME and mid-market customers.

TTG x Gradwell

Chairman Mark Howling commented:

“Gradwell has a long history of delivering cloud first services to small businesses through the channel. We have recently put a huge amount of time and effort into developing our new next generation cloud voice platform, Wave. It’s built on an Asterisk core in AWS, using microservices which are highly resilient and offer huge potential for integration through APIs. We have seen a lot of interest from Broadsoft partners. This investment with TTG means that Gradwell can really focus on delivering a great experience for partners and their customers within the channel.

TTG is one of the leading providers of managed UCaaS solutions to medium to large sized organisations in the UK, with a track record of delivering outstanding customer service. As it services larger customers, those customers tend to be serviced direct, rather than through partners.

With the two businesses working together, the group will be able to address a larger part of the UCaaS market, servicing small, medium and large customers in the most appropriate manner. The cultures are also very similar, with a strong focus on customer service, and I am confident that the organisations will work well together.”
