LinkedIn has created buzz over the last few years, particularly in social media circles. But a lot of businesses are still not utilising its full potential.

LinkedIn groups are a great way to engage with your target audience, but most businesses don’t understand why they should bother creating one or joining one. Building a LinkedIn group around a niche topic or a specific cause can provide businesses with many benefits, including:

    1.  Building awareness with your target market

Setting up a group is a great way to engage with your target market through a more personalised medium. You can share relevant, resourceful and helpful content with them and therefore become a valuable resource to them.

        2. Position your company as an industry thought leader

By providing rich content on your industry, your audience will see you as a valuable resource to them and in turn you will become a thought leader.

        3. Transform your group members into subscribers and advocates for your brand

By completing the first two steps this should be a natural next step.

Building a LinkedIn group is simple and effective if done correctly. Like all social media channels it will require an investment in time to start with, but once setup and running it should definitely be worth the investment.
