Senior Web Developer
We are looking to expand our Web Systems Development Team, which has created an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Bath-based team. This is a key role which will be mainly focused on developing and expanding our Frontend Development function.
We are offering you the opportunity to play a key part in building new systems on a modern platform, utilising best-in-class tooling and a service-oriented architecture approach.
The overall purpose of this role is to create the next generation of user experience for our direct customers, our partners, and our internal systems. This work requires close communication with our Product and Support teams to gain a deep understanding of the customers’ needs and the ability to translate the requirements into a tangible product.
As a Senior member of the team, we would expect you to be able to identify user and system requirements, to regularly review other team members code and to guide and mentor more junior members of the team.
You will also help us transition away from our legacy PHP codebase as we replace our older applications with modern solutions. Maintenance of these PHP systems will be ongoing for at least a year or so, so we would expect you to spend time understanding the current systems and helping maintain them alongside development work of new platforms with the focus being more on the frontend, using Angular 7.
