The government has made the decision to extend the right to request flexible working to all employees, following the overwhelming evidence from their Modern Workplaces consultation process. This is a timely recognition of the changing attitudes to work, and will greatly benefit businesses.
There has been a clear shift in the nature of working, as demonstrated with the popularity of VoIP. Workers expect to be able to work from home should there be a reason to do so, or work in another office.
