UK Internet service provider Gradwell have been named as a finalist for the prestigious Best Internet Telephony prize at the 12th annual UK Internet Industry Awards.
The nomination for the awards, hosted by ISPA (The Internet Service Providers’ Association), comes after three months of rigorous testing by ISPA’s technical testing partner, Epitiro.
ISPA Secretary General, Nicholas Lansman said, "Each year the ISPA Awards rewards the UK’s top Internet companies after a process that involves thorough technical testing and judging from an independent panel. I would like to congratulate all of the finalists and look forward to welcoming them to the Awards gala dinner ceremony, which looks like being one of our biggest to date."
Gradwell Managing Director, Peter Gradwell said, “It is fantastic to be named as one of the top VoIP providers in the UK. It not only recognises the high-quality service we provide to over 20,000 businesses across the UK, but also our achievements as a business during the last 12 months.
A nomination from ISPA means a lot to us as they undertake technical testing. This shows that VoIP has matured and can now stand shoulder-to-shoulder with traditional landline telephony to provide a communications backbone for small businesses”
Responsibility for selecting the winners now lies with a high-profile panel of expert judges, which is this year chaired by Think Broadband Editor Andrew Ferguson.
The winners will be announced at a sparkling black tie awards ceremony at the Grosvenor Marriott Hotel on Thursday 8th July, where compere, well-known comedian Bob Mills, will be joined by a host of talented musicians throughout the evening.
