How to use the Gradwell Broadband Control Panel

Getting Started

Access to the broadband control panel is available through the My Account link from the Gradwell homepage, or by accessing http://www.gradwell.com/myaccount.

In order to login, enter your Gradwell registered email address and password and click on the Login button.

If you have forgot your password, then you can click on the Forgotten your password? link to recover it - this will send an email to your registered email address containing your new login instructions.

Once you have logged into the portal, as a Broadband Customer you will see the following screen:

The Broadband Control Panel will present a list of lines associated with your account together with the following information

  • Number/Label - The telephone number or custom defined description for the line we are providing Broadband on
  • Broadband Package - The Gradwell Package being supplied on this line
  • Line Type - The Line Type (Carrier) , this will either be IPStream, DataStream or LLU
  • Required Date - The Date that the service was provided on the line
  • Order Date - The Date that the order was placed through our Broadband ordering system
  • Last Status Change - The Date that any changes were last made to the line

By clicking on a line listed under the Number/Label column you will be presented with the following screen with further details regarding the line.

  • Line Label - If set will display a description for the line, this is useful is managing a number of lines under your account
  • Broadband Package - The Gradwell Package being supplied on this line
  • Router IP Address - The static IP address of your ADSL router
  • Router Password - The password to enter the router web based configuration
  • Usable IP Addresses - If you have public IP's allocated, your usable IP's will be listed here - Gradwell offer blocks of 8,16,32 and 64 IP's
  • Contact Phone Number - The phone number that you would preferred to be contacted on
  • Mobile Phone Number - Your preferred mobile number for future use to notify you of ADSL issues. If you do not have a mobile number set, you can click on Add a mobile number to enter yours.
  • Contact Email Address - Your master account email address, which will be used to send notifications to
  • Postal Address - If we need to contact you by Post, we will use this address
  • Line Profile (LLU Only) - The Line Profile currently applied to your line, this will only display information if your line is provided by our LLU carrier , IPStream and Datastream users will see N/A
  • Line Rental - The cost per month for service
  • DSL Username - The username that is used to authenticate and login to our service
  • DSL Password - The password used to authenticate and login to our service
  • Subnet Mask - The subnet mask associated with your Usable IP Addresses
  • Gradwell Email - If chosen during signup your free @gradwelldsl.co.uk email address will appear here, clicking on Manage will then let you change the password if required
  • Bandwidth Usage Allowance - The total amount of bandwidth assigned to your account for the month
  • Bandwidth Used This Month - The total amount of bandwidth used so far

Clicking on Edit Contact Details presents the screen below, which allows you to set the Line Label and change the contact details associated with the line.

Selecting the Manage Mailbox option will allow you to modify your gradwelldsl.co.uk email address if chosen during signup.

 

The information displayed under Connection Settings can be used to configure your email software to manage email, you can use POP3 or IMAP to access the mailbox.

Broadband customers can also use our outbound email service by reconfiguring their software to use our relay server smtp.gradwelldsl.co.uk

If you wish to change the password associated with the account, then enter your current password in the Current Password: field and the new password below and click on Change Password.

Password changes take 15minutes to update on our network.

Selecting the Edit Radius Password option from the left hand menu will let you change the password that is used to log into our Broadband service, please note that if this password is changed you will also need to update your router configuration and also reboot your router. It is advised that if you wish to change your password you make these changes outside of your normal working hours to avoid any unnecessary downtime.

The Radius Details screen will show the current Username and Password and give you the option to change the Password, once you have made the changes select Save to update our servers. Please note, the Username cannot be changed.

Selecting the Summary menu item will display further information regarding all Broadband lines on your account including the total number of IP addresses in use, the state of any Reverse DNS records.

This page will also show any registered VoIP telephones online with our Internet Telephony service, together with line usage information
