How to manage and listen to your voicemail

Getting Started

If voicemail is enabled for an extension or hunt group, callers can leave messages for you.

You can choose to pick these voicemails up in a number of ways.

Basic Configuration

From your VOIP handset

  • To listen to any voicemail messages for your extension, dial *1
  • Some handsets alert you with an audible and visual notification that voicemail is waiting (for example, an intermittent dial tone, or an envelope may appear on the screen)
  • From any handset connected to Gradwell you can dial 185 and enter your mailbox number followed by your PIN to login

From a Gradwell Mobile

  • Dial 0870 861 6661 or 01225 800 899

From a traditional phone network or your mobile phone (non-Gradwell Mobile)

  • Dial 0870 861 6661 or 01225 800 899
  • Enter your mailbox number and the PIN, this will then log into your mailbox and you can manage your voicemails as if you were using your VOIP handset

From the Control Panel

  • Voicemails are available by clicking on the Voicemail menu on the left hand side of the screen, from here you can review your voicemails
  • You can also purge your mailbox or delete individual voicemails

Via Email

  • Any recorded voicemails are forwarded to your email address with a WAV file attachment (unless you disable this option), you can then play this file on your computer
  • For this to work, you should provide a valid email address when creating the extension or huntgroup

SMS Alerts

  • We can alert you via SMS to waiting voicemail, our SMS alert will show the callers telephone number (when available) and the length of a message, you can then dial into our voicemail server to retrieve the message
  • You must pay via direct debit for this functionality to become active on your account
  • You must enter your mobile number in the SMS alerts section of the Extension or Hunt Group that you wish to receive the notification to

Voice2Text

  • If this add-on has been purchased, we will convert the first 60 seconds of audio and send this to you as a text message, this gives you a convenient way to manage your voicemail when you are out of the offfice
