How to change my website to use PHP 5.2 |

We provide a PHP 5.2 hosting platform for general use. This is an up-to-date version of PHP that allows you to use far more functionality than PHP 4.4.If you are using an older version of PHP it is relatively simple to update to the newer version. After logging in to your control panel click on Hosting from the top menu bar to enter the hosting control panel.
In the main left hand menu, look for Unix Hosting (under Web Hosting) and click it.
![]() Click edit alongside the domain that you wish to upgrade to PHP 5.2.
![]() Select the version of PHP you wish to move to. For this change, we would want to select the PHP 5.2 radio button.
![]() If you use a custom zone file you will also need to make a note of the IP address noted below this area, as you will need to amend the A records of your zone file so that anyone trying to find your site are directed towards our PHP 5.2 web cluster.
Click Update virtual host settings to save your changes.
If you are not using a custom zone file, you will also need to update the zone file that your website uses. To do this, click on Manage domains from the left hand menu.
![]() ...and then click edit alongside the domain you need to update. Scroll down to the Domain Settings area and select default web hosting on PHP 5.2 Cluster from the Zone File dropdown box, and then click Update domain settings.
![]() Please bear in mind that the DNS only reloads once an hour and it might take up to 48 hours for these changes to fully propagate across the internet.
