Getting startedNOTE All PSTN equipment plugged into a telephone socket will need to have a separate ADSL microfilter. This will include PDQ machines, fax machines, sky boxes and conventional telephones. Basic configurationPlug the ADSL microfilter into the telephone point on the wall. Then plug the RJ11 telephone cable supplied with the router into the DSL port of the microfilter, and the other end into the DSL port of the router. Using the supplied Ethernet cable, plug one end into any of the 4 yellow Ethernet ports at the rear of the router, then the other end into the back of the PC. Finally, plug in the mains adapter into the mains wall socket and into the back of the router, and switch on. The power light on the router should start to flash, and after a couple of minutes, the power, Ethernet, DSL and internet lights should all be lit. You should be able to start surfing the internet straight away, and no further configuration should be required. Advanced Settings and TroubleshootingThe router can communicate its current status via the LEDs on the front of the device. The table below shows how to interpret these lights:
