How to add and remove users from your Gradwell One account

Getting started

Adding users to your Gradwell One account is a simple process, but it is important to know that you need to ensure that you have purchased an additional external number on your account for each user that you wish to add.

For example, if you wish to add a new user and you currently have three users and three numbers, you will need to purchase an additional number first.

Walkthrough video

To help you administer your users you can watch our walkthrough video below. You can pause and rewind as necessary, and use it along with the notes below.

Adding additional numbers

To add an additional number, log in to your VoIP control panel (at https://voip.gradwell.com, not your Gradwell One control panel) and navigate to the Packages section.

Find your Gradwell One account, and click the Resize button. In order to purchase additional numbers click the Additional numbers can be provisioned here link.

Select the number of additional numbers you require and the area code you wish the number to be in, and click Provision additional numbers.

Adding additional users

Navigate to the Packages section of your VoIP control panel, find your Gradwell One package and click Resize.

Select the number of users you wish to add from the dropdown box, don't forget that you need one number per user. Click the Resize button.

Confirm the new cost per month and click Submit.

To create the new users in your Gradwell One account, sign in to your control panel at https://uc.gradwell.com. Navigate to the User Administration menu, and select Users.

Select Create new user and fill out the details of your new user.

In order to choose an external number for the user to use, click the List available external numbers link. This number will be used to reach them no matter which device they are using, including their mobile phone if they are using the Mobile+ or Mobile Light applications.

You can also manage group membership using the User Group Membership section. For more information on groups and their use, click here.

Removing users

Navigate to the Packages section of your VoIP control panel, find your Gradwell One package and click Resize.

Select the number of users you wish to have in the dropdown box and click Resize.

You will then have to choose which number to remove from the account. Click the checkbox of the number you don't wish to stay associated with the account. You can then choose whether to keep the number or whether to discard it completely.

  • Keep: the number will be added to an 'additional numbers' list, and you will still be charged a small amount for it each month. You will be able to apply it to another account now or in the future
  • Discard: the number will be completely deleted from your account and will not be able to be recovered

In the example below, the number 0117 123456 will be kept as active on the Gradwell One account. The number 01234 111111 will be completely discarded.
