How to set up mobile phone users on Gradwell One |

Getting startedMobile phone users with a smartphone can download an application, called Mobile+, that will allow them to use their Gradwell One account on their mobile phone. Supported phonesTo use the Mobile+ application, users must have one of the following phones:
Other mobile phone users can use the Mobile Light application. Basic configurationTo start, an administrator has to ensure that users have a mobile phone number set up in their user account. Navigate to the list of Users in the User administration section and select the user you wish to use the Mobile+ application.
Scroll down the user profile until you reach the Personal phones section. Click Add mobile phone.
A new field will appear. Enter the mobile phone number that the user will use in international format, and select the type of smartphone client they will use in the Smartphone client license field.
Then select the Mobile profile that you wish the user to use
Click OK. If you have a Windows Mobile, please ensure you follow these steps before continuing. If you are using an iPhone or Android device, please follow these steps and disregard the instructions below. After you have clicked on OK you will need to send the user an invitation SMS (please note, if you the user has a Windows Mobile please ensure you follow these steps before continuing). This SMS will include a link to allow them to download the application. Navigate to the Devices menu on the top menu bar, and select Smartphone clients.
Click the checkbox next to the user or users who you wish to send the download link to, and click the Send invitation SMS to selected button.
As well as containing a link to download the Mobile+ application, it also contains all the configuration information to automatically allow the user to access their account and make calls. Therefore each link is unique and is only valid for 24 hours after being sent. Once the SMS is received, the user should click on it to start the application install process. Please note: if you are using a Blackberry handset please follow these steps to complete the configuration of the device. An alternative method to send the installation SMS link is for the user to log into their control panel, navigate to the Applications screen, select their mobile phone type and click Send Installation SMS to send the SMS message to their phone.
Installing the client on a BlackBerryDue to the security settings on BlackBerry devices, an extra step is required to successfully install the application. Follow the installation procedure as above and start the application on the phone. It will state that it is waiting for configuration settings. From the Gradwell One control panel, navigate back to Smartphone clients in the Devices section. Select the user and then click Send configuration SMS to selected. Installing the client on a Windows MobileTo successfully install the client on a Windows Mobile device, an extra file needs to be installed on your phone first. Once you have entered the user's mobile number and selected a profile type, instruct them to log in to their control panel and click the Applications link. In the mobile phone section they need to select Windows Mobile from the drop down list, and a Download Mobile Runtime Environment link will appear.
Once the user have downloaded and installed the Runtime Environment you will be able to continue sending the installation SMS as normal - you can do it from the same screen as above if you wish (the Send Installation SMS button will be available after ticking to confirm that you have installed the Runtime Environment). Installing the client on an iPhone or Android deviceAfter adding your mobile details, ensure that Enable softphone light is ticked (under Allowed Applications).
Now the user has to do two things:

Advanced configurationIf you wish to be able to search your mobile phone book in addition to the Gradwell One client, you need to make a small change in the settings. Open up the Menu and then scroll to Settings. Change Search Local Contacts to Enabled (you will just need to click on it to alternate between enabled and disabled). Depending on your phone, you may see several security prompts. Read this and agree to grant the application permission to search your phone book. To dial a local contact, simply use the interface of the phone to enter the name of the contact to search for them. Scroll to the entry you wish to call and select. A video showing this process on a Nokia E71 is below, the steps will be similar for all mobile phones that use the client.
