| Article Number: 12 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Wed, Sep 22, 2010 at 1:45 PM |
Getting startedPlease ensure that the wireless switch on your laptop is in the ‘on’ position or your USB dongle is connected to a working USB socket on your laptop. ConfigurationClick - Start > Control Panel > Network Connections You should then see an icon for your wireless connection on your taskbar, if you right click this you should see "View available Wireless Networks" Select this and a new window will appear. Your wireless router will be listed in this window - the SSID (Routers Wireless ID) is printed on a label included with your Thomson router, ensure you select the correct SSID from the list, then click the connect button on the bottom right hand side of the screen. Windows will now ask you for the network key, again this is printed on a label included with your router - enter this into the box and click connect. If the SSID has been chosen correctly and the network key entered your PC will now be registered on your Windows wireless network. |
