Facebook: How to use it for your business

A study by Nielsen has found that the internet plays an essential part in influencing consumers in their purchasing process, so it is even more important that you use every online tool available to you to influence this process.

Here are some useful tips to help make your Facebook page as effective as possible.

  1. Make sure your profile is up to date- your ‘About’ section allows you to display a hyperlink to your company profile as well as providing a brief describe of what you do. This is your opportunity to advertise your business, use it.  Make sure you have a profile and cover picture, they say a picture tells a thousand words and this is a great way to get some information across about your brand.
  2. Post relevant content often- this seems obvious but is something companies forget. As we mentioned above your social media accounts allow you to help generate brand awareness. Posting relevant content on your Facebook page will enable you to educate your customers and also encourage them to share your content, which will hopefully gather new follower.
  3. Check your page regularly – people use all sorts of methods to express positive and negative comments about your company or brand, with the use of social media becoming more and more popular. If a consumer posts on your Facebook page they expect a quick response, so it’s essential you regularly check your page.
