Dr Peter Gradwell, Managing Director
Peter is recognised as one of the UK’s leading young internet and telecoms entrepreneurs, and was recently named by the Daily Telegraph as one of the Changing Faces of IT. Having established the company in his second year of University, in 1998, Peter has delivered a staggering year-on-year organic growth to grow the company. He remains actively involved in the day-to-day management of the business, including hands-on dealings with clients to drive product development, and a focus on marketing and PR to maintain company growth.
Peter is an active industry shaper, having sponsored the establishment of voip.org.uk, being a founder member of the Internet Telephony Service Providers Association, a Director of the UK ENUM Consortium and is a respected industry lobbyist having worked on domain name policy, VoIP regulation and 999 issues. Has previously a Non-Exec Director of Newnet plc and Chaired Nominet UK’s Policy Advisory Board for 2 years.
In Summer 2009, Peter completed a Phd in Computer Science at the University of Bath titled "Economic Algorithms for the Management of Resources in Computer Systems". He now devotes his spare time to teaching Kayaking and exploring the coast and rivers of the UK.
Barrie Millett, Commercial Director
Barrie joined Gradwell in 2005 from his role as Group Services Director for automotive computer systems specialists Kerridge Computer Company. In a departure from his early career as an electronics technician with the RAF, Barrie has developed a sharp commercial focus. With a commitment to excellent customer service and a keen eye for maintaining a healthy P&L, Barrie has overall responsibility for the customer support, purchasing and billing functions.
When not working, Barrie can be found tearing up the road on his classic Harley Davidson.

Dr Simon Craske, Head of Engineering Simon joined Gradwell in October 2011 and brings his strong experience of software development from within both high integrity (safety critical) systems and startup/ SME environments. Since starting his career at IPL, a Bath based specialist software house, Simon has worked in both large scale global corporations and more recently in the SME environment introducing best practice software development methods. Keen on the great outdoors, Simon is often out walking, playing tennis or swimming for fun. |

Ashley Taylor, Service Delivery Manager Moved into the IT Industry straight from College and has gained a wealth of experience in the Service Delivery Management arena having worked for two global IT Organisations providing a fully managed ICT service for companies in both the Private and Public sectors. In his spare time, Ashley is a keen sportsman and also devotes time to continuing his medical studies alongside working for an NHS Emergency Ambulance Service on the ‘front-line’. |

Frances Critchlow, Head of Sales and Marketing Frances joined Gradwell in September 2011 and brings with her a wealth of sales, marketing and business development experience. Having started her career in Hewlett-Packard, Frances has worked for a number of technical and scientific companies both here and abroad. As well as overseeing the sales and marketing teams, Frances is passionate about growing revenue, professional marketing delivery and staff development. Keen on fresh air and dogs, when out of the office you are likely to find Frances walking, cycling and puppy training. |
